Evening MBA Adding, Dropping, or Withdrawing

If you need to make adjustments to your class schedule, keep in mind that the UW has very strict deadlines for adding, dropping, and withdrawing from classes each quarter. Missing these deadlines can impact you financially as well as academically. The MBA Program Office reminds students of the specific dates for each quarter’s registration deadlines in the MBA Newsletter.

    • Evening MBA students must be aware of the deadlines noted for each quarter on the Evening MBA Registration Calendar. Additional information can be found on the UW Academic Calendar.
    • To avoid a late registration fee ($25), students must be enrolled in classes before the first day of the quarter. Students may confirm their enrollment and registration on MyUW. If you have concerns about your enrollment, please contact [email protected].
    • Students may add and/or drop classes without penalty during the first week of the quarter. Please send all requests to [email protected].
    • If you add and/or drop classes after the first week of the quarter, you will incur a late change of registration fee ($20) and tuition forfeiture if your academic credit load decreases.
    • To drop a class after the second week of the quarter, this requires use of your annual drop as well as the conditions described above.
    • Once deadlines have passed, the MBA Program Office works with the UW Registrar to petition the registration changes.
    • In some cases, students may request a hardship withdrawal from a class or a complete withdrawal from all classes. Please consult with your advisor in these situations.
    • If you do not plan to enroll for classes during a particular quarter (with the exception of Summer), you must request graduate leave status with the UW before the quarter begins in order to maintain your student status. Please discuss this in advance with your advisor.
