Give to Foster

Give to Foster

The Michael G. Foster School of Business is one of the top business schools in the world. We strive to prepare the next generation of business leaders through our extraordinary faculty, education, and hands-on experiences. But we cannot grow our work or impact without you. Your donation makes the difference. Countless students, graduates, and faculty would not be where they are today without the generous gifts of people like you. Donations enhance our programs, support faculty research, fund cutting-edge technology and facilities, and help students become the next generation of business leaders.

When should I make my gift?
Your gift will make an immediate impact at the Foster School, no matter when you give. However, there are a couple factors that may influence the timing of your gift:

Tax Year: If charitable deductions are a priority, the I.R.S. operates on the calendar year. Gifts made or postmarked by December 31st are deductible in that year’s return.

Fiscal Year: The University of Washington operates on a fiscal year beginning on July 1st. Foster recognizes leadership-level donors based on giving from July 1st to June 30th. Cumulative giving of $1,000 and above in a year qualifies you for our Dean’s Club. $2,000 and above qualifies you for membership in the UW President’s Club.

What are the Foster School and the University’s levels of recognition?
Foster School Dean’s Club: $1,000+ annually
University of Washington President’s Club: $2,000+ annually
UW Benefactor: $100,000+ cumulative
UW Laureate: $1M+ cumulative
Presidential Laureate: $10M+ cumulative

If you want to make a difference for students and advance the Foster School, feel free to contact us with your questions and ideas about making a gift. Our Philanthropy Officers can help you figure out which opportunity best matches your interests, or even how to structure your gift. We will help you customize your gift to meet your financial objectives as well as your philanthropic ambitions.
