Launched in 2017 with generous foundational support from Microsoft, the UW’s Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) is a collaborative initiative of UW’s College of Engineering and the Foster School of Business.The core mission of GIX is to inspire innovators to solve real-world challenges through the responsible application of advanced technologies. To fulfill this mission, GIX partners with corporate, government and non-profit organizations to deliver transformational learning through graduate education, global experiences, and professional development programs, including the flagship degree, the Master of Science in Technology Innovation.
GIX is based on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington. Custom built for the UW, our space includes comprehensive labs, studios, workshops, and classroom spaces supported by faculty, technical experts, and full-time staff.
