The Certificate of International Studies in Business (CISB) Program, supported by its Alumni Council, partners with the business community to give students exposure to the global business world. CISB Alumni: learn how you can stay engaged.

Here are a few ways for businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies to get involved with CISB:

  • Hire our students and graduates as interns and permanent employees.
  • Serve as guest speakers in the Language Track Seminar to educate students about career opportunities in your company or industry.
  • Judge global competitions and scout for talent among our student participants.
  • Host company tours to give students a unique look into your company.

How can CISB benefit your business or organization?

  • Recruit talented students and alumni to help build your business.
  • Network with professionals through CISB events and activities.
  • Promote your products and services through interaction with students, staff and faculty.

CISB Lunch Like a Pro

CISB “Lunch Like a Pro” gives CISB students the opportunity to have a one-on-one lunch discussion with a CISB graduate to:

  • Learn about career paths in international business.
  • Gain career advice and industry knowledge.
  • Develop their professional network.

The participants will meet once during the academic year for a one-on-one lunch discussion. Alumni may choose to pick up the tab for their expenses or be reimbursed by CISB. Students are responsible for their own travel and parking expenses.
Alumni may choose to include the student in one or more of the following activities after meeting with the student:

  • Meetings with co-workers.
  • Networking with co-workers.
  • Tour of company or facility.

Applications are due Thursday, January 18, 2018. Students must be enrolled at the UW in winter 2018. Matches will be made by Monday, January 29, 2018. Meetings should take place before the end of winter quarter (March 16, 2018).
