The Foster School Alumni Team provides a wide range of events throughout the year to keep you connected with fellow alums and the school—from the annual Business Leadership Celebration and MBA State of the Economy Forum, to happy hour and tailgates. Watch your email for updates and frequently visit our Event Calendar. Here’s a brief list:
Foster On Tap: Alumni Happy Hours
Spring and Fall – Seattle and Bellevue
Foster alumni gather to reconnect with the Foster School and network with fellow alums over hosted appetizers.
Taste of Foster
Spring – UW Campus
Each year, we will highlight different alumni who represent a specific part of the food and beverage industry. Guests will participate in food or beverage tastings and hear a panel discussion about the entrepreneurship and experience of our alumni.
MBA State of the Economy Forum
Spring – Seattle
Conceived by beloved finance professor Karma Hadjimikilakis, the MBA State of the Economy Forum features a moderated panel discussion providing perspectives on local, national and international economic issues (often with a dose of humor).
Annual Alumni Picnic
Summer– UW Campus
This annual family-friendly event brings Foster alumni, faculty, staff and friends back to campus for a great time. The event includes a delicious picnic meal, adult and kid friendly activities, giveaways and more!
Fall– UW Campus/Seattle area
MBA Reunions bring the excitement of being back in school, with none of the homework! Celebrating classes who graduated 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years ago, MBA Reunion Weekend is fun-filled with activities guided by class volunteers.
Fall – UW Campus
The Foster alumni tailgate brings together Foster spirit (an RV overflowing with food, drink and purple swag) and Husky football. The opponent may change each year, but the fun is guaranteed.
Business Leadership Celebration
Fall – Seattle
The Foster School researches, teaches and practices leadership every day. This annual dinner event celebrates the “best of the best” among our community of alumni and business leaders.
Foster at WildLights
December – Woodland Park Zoo
This family friendly activity features a Foster Reception during WildLights at the Woodland Park Zoo. Experience amazing indoor and outdoor light displays and visit with fellow alums over hosted snacks, hot chocolate and s’mores!
So what happens if you’re not living in, or traveling to, Seattle? Through regional and international events, we provide opportunities for alumni to network, learn, and continue their affinity with the Foster School. Make sure we’ve got your correct contact information so we can reach out the next time we’re headed to Seoul, New York, San Francisco…
