Foster School Study Abroad Photo Contest

The Study Abroad Photo Contest for 2020 is now closed. Check back in September 2021 for information on the next Foster Study Abroad Photo Contest.

2020 Submission Categories

Foster Spirit: Do you have any photos showing off Foster/UW gear while abroad? This is the category for you! NOTE: Current Foster students ONLY.

Study Abroad & Me: A photo that includes you and/or other students abroad. Inspire others to go abroad with a photo of you and/or your friends seeing the world! NOTE: Current Foster students ONLY.

My Global Lens: A photo that displays views uniquely accessible to students living abroad – social issues; cultural interactions; cityscapes; landscapes; etc. NOTE: Current Foster students ONLY.

Alumni: A special category exclusively for Alumni! The category is for photos of global travel done during your study abroad experience as an undergrad or graduate student. NOTE: Foster Alumni ONLY.

Submit up to FIVE photos for a chance to win one of six prizes – including a grand prize worth $50!

No repeat photo submissions will be accepted.

Prizes

Winners of all categories – apart from People’s Choice – will be determined by a panel of judges comprised of Foster faculty and staff. Winning photos will be displayed via GBC social media platforms. The People’s Choice winner will be determined by popular vote, available on Facebook.

Each of the six prizes will be awarded in the form of a gift card. Gift card selection will be made upon notification of winning photos.

  • Grand Prize: $50
  • People’s Choice, 1st place: $25
  • Best of ‘Foster Spirit’, 1st place: $25
  • Best of ‘Study Abroad & Me’, 1st place: $25
  • Best of ‘My Global Lens’, 1st place: $25
  • Best of ‘Alumni’, 1st place: $25

All photos must be a minimum of 2 MB in size to qualify for the contest.
