Cohort-based learning
Participants in the Business Management Certificate Program have a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences–each person has a unique viewpoint to contribute to the class discussions. You will learn a lot from the expertise of your fellow participants. Both the in-person class sessions and the interactive live online class sessions are experienced as a group, so you will get to know your classmates well and expand your professional network. Toward the end of the program, you will work in a small team to tackle a business problem and present your team’s solution. The team project offers a chance to practice your teamwork, managerial, and presentation skills, all while synthesizing the information that you have learned throughout the program.
Foster faculty and staff support
The faculty members and program manager for the course are here to help you succeed, whether that’s by answering questions specific to your current job or helping you with course logistics. Prior to and throughout the program, you will get email updates from the program manager with the information you need to prepare for the course. The program manager will make sure you have parking arranged for the in-person class sessions and all the materials you need to complete the program. From the course website you’ll be able to access materials, deadlines, and other helpful course information. The program manager will also be on hand during the live online sessions to support the faculty and participants.
