Foster Community and Resources

Faculty at Foster

Learn from top-ranked faculty at the forefront of research in business intelligence and data analytics. Foster faculty excel at linking academic theory with real-world practice to make lectures and in-class discussions both relevant and thorough.

Among the several reasons why powerhouse research faculty makes for a better business school, Dean Frank Hodge points out that “research is what keeps us on the cutting edge. We’re not only teaching what was relevant last year or the year before but we’re actually leading the charge about what’s going to be relevant next year and that is what research faculty bring into the classroom.”

Foster faculty are known for their robust research. A study by MSBA Professor Oliver Rutz put forward a model to identify the role and importance of different marketing channels along the path to purchase any product. Learn more about Dr. Rutz and his research.

Alumni and Community Connections

Guest speakers visit Foster classrooms regularly. Students hear from a diverse mix of members of the local business analytics community and our alumni, who come to Foster to provide guest lectures and share personal insight as part of the MSBA Leader Series. This speaker series connects students with business analytics leaders through interactive seminars that impart valuable lessons on careers and the application of classroom concepts to real-world scenarios.

We also host occasional events such as our MSBA Networking Night. Our aim is to give the best MSBA experience to our students and equip them with the tools to succeed in life after graduating.
