Registration and Fees

Is the Business Management Certificate right for you? The program is ideal for:

  • Professionals who want to broaden and deepen their knowledge of business essentials.
  • Early to mid-career professionals who have or are moving into management or leadership role.
  • Professionals/specialists – e.g. engineers or developers – who have business operations role.
  • Graduate students in non-business fields who want to expand their business academic foundation.

Applicants must have at least three years of full-time professional work experience. If you have more than 10 years of professional experience, you may want to consider attending the Executive Development Program instead.

Please note that the Business Management Certificate Program cannot sponsor visas to attend.

  • The program fee includes instruction, learning materials, parking on campus during in-person class days, and a Certificate of Completion from the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business. 6.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) also available. See more information about CEUs. Please indicate your interest in receiving CEUs on your application.
  • We reserve a limited number of seats at a 25% reduced tuition for non-profit organizations. Contact us at [email protected] for more information.
  • Additional applications may be considered after the January 10, 2026 deadline, as space allows.
  • Payment must be made by check, credit card, or submit a purchase order for later invoice.
  • A $50 late fee applies to payments delayed by 3+ business days unless an extension is approved by Executive Education before the due date. Access to program materials will be suspended if payment is 5+ business days late. Reminder emails will be sent, but payments are due by each deadline regardless of reminders.

Cancellation policy

All requests for cancellation, refund or substitution must be received in writing (e-mail is acceptable). To ensure enough time for pre-mailed materials to be received, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 30 days before program start date:
    • 100% refund (less non-refundable deposit) for withdrawal
    • Participant substitutes are allowed with no administrative fee
  • 15 to 29 days before program start date
    • 50% (less non-refundable deposit) refund for withdrawal
    • Participant substitutes may be allowed on a case-by-case basis
  • 2 to 14 days before program start date
    • No refund for withdrawal
    • Participant substitutes may be allowed on a case-by-case basis
  • Less than 48 hours before the program start date
    • No refunds or substitutions will be permitted

We are currently accepting applications and will be reviewing them in the order they are received. We will accept applications through January 10, 2026, or until the program fills, whichever comes first. Please have the following documents ready to upload with your application:

  • A brief letter (250-word maximum) that describes your relevant experience, transferable skills, knowledge of the field and commitment to professional growth
  • A resume that highlights how your education and any applicable experience fulfill the program’s admission requirements

There is no application fee for this program, but a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your admission once you receive acceptance. The deposit will go towards the tuition.
