Why CISB? A whole world of good reasons.
What is CISB?
The Certificate of International Studies in Business (CISB) is a nationally ranked, award-winning program you can complete alongside your Foster major.
CISB adds a global and intercultural dimension to your business education through:
- International business coursework
- Foreign language study
- Regional specialization
- Hands-on global experience
When you complete the program, CISB will appear on your UW transcript, signaling to employers that you are a globally minded business leader—ready to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
How It Works in Your Plan
CISB is designed to integrate smoothly with your Foster coursework. After you are admitted and have declared the certificate, CISB will appear in your degree audit alongside your major requirements.
Many CISB courses overlap with your major, helping you stay on track to graduate on time. You’ll work with both your Foster academic adviser and the CISB program adviser to plan a path that works for you.
When you graduate, you’ll earn your B.A. in Business Administration with a CISB transcript notation—plus the global perspective and experience that help you stand out in the job market.
Why Choose CISB?
