Decode communications styles and learn how to communicate with greater impact
According to Psychology Today, messages are conveyed 55% by the speaker’s facial expressions and body language, 38% by the tone they use, and only 7% by the words they select. Insights into your communication style and that of others enables more impactful, effective communication. When we can align our facial/bodily expressions with our tone and words, our ability to influence our audience is significantly increased. Now with more virtual interactions, the ability to pick up cues through facial expressions and tone becomes even more critical. During this session, you will become more self-aware of your communication tendencies and learn how to read your audience and adjust your style to convey your thoughts and ideas more powerfully.

Communicating with Impact content overview
Understanding communications theory is an important first step but learning by doing turns that knowledge into action. With the use of virtual breakout rooms, you will put your understanding to work in a small group setting, where you can practice communicating in order to increase influence and navigate difficult conversations. These exercises will be followed by real-time feedback to reinforce learning. Come ready to engage and participate actively.
