Policies

Cancellations

All requests for cancellation, refund, or substitution must be received in writing (e-mail is acceptable).

Our cancellation policy for on-campus courses is as follows:

# of Days Prior to Program Start
30 days prior 100% refund for withdrawal. Participant substitutes are allowed with no administrative fee.
15 to 29 days prior 50% refund for withdrawal. Participant substitutes may be allowed on a case by case basis.
2 to 14 days prior No refund for withdrawal. Participant substitutes may be allowed on a case by case basis.
Less than 48 hours prior No refunds or substitutions will be permitted.

Our cancellation policy for online courses is as follows:

10 days prior 100% refund for withdrawal
4 to 9 days prior 50% refund for withdrawal
Less than 72 hours prior No refunds will be permitted

Program dates, fees, and faculty are subject to change. If a program is cancelled, Executive Education will refund the tuition in full; however, we are not responsible for travel, accommodations, or other expenses incurred by the participant.

Certificates and Continuing Education Units

When you successfully complete a UW Foster Executive Education program or seminar, you receive a certificate. You are also eligible to receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs). More information about CEUs. Our Online Career Boosters courses are not eligible for certificates or CEUs.

Discounts

The Executive Education department offers select program discounts for the following individuals:

Executive Education alums
Individuals who have completed an Executive Education course, online or in person
15% off seminars listed here
Executive Development Program (EDP) alums
Alumni of the Executive Development Program
30% off seminars listed here
University of Washington alums 10% off seminars listed here
University of Washington employees 10% off any program registration if they are self-sponsored or 25% off if they are sponsored by their department through UW budget transfer. Not applicable to online courses or the Business Management Certificate.
Groups
3 or more participants from the same organization attending a program together
15% off each registration. Not applicable to online courses or the Business Management Certificate.
Non-profit organizations
Applicable for employees of 501(c)(3) organizations
There are a limited number of discounted seats available in the seminars listed here and the Executive Development Program. Discounts are offered first come, first served. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Payments

Registrants may pay by check or credit card. Your space in the program is not confirmed until payment is received. Also, please note that for seminars that require pre-work, you will not receive the materials before payment.

Payments by check will be processed by Student Fiscal Services (SFS) at the University of Washington. SFS processes checks electronically using the information on the check to create an electronic funds transfer. Each time you send a check, you authorize a one-time electronic transfer where funds will be withdrawn from your bank account.

If you would like to request a copy of your payment receipt, please contact [email protected]. Please note that we cannot issue Form 1098-T, because Executive Education classes are non-credit programs.
