Congratulations to Professor Doron Levit for receiving the prestigious Brattle Group First Prize in Corporate Finance for 2024.
The Department of Finance and Business Economics is delighted to announce that Professor Doron Levit has been awarded First Prize in the Brattle Group Prizes of Corporate Finance at the American Finance Association Annual Meeting, which took place on January 3-5, 2025, in San Francisco, California. Doron shares the award with his co-authors Nadya Malenko and Ernst Maug for their article “Trading and Shareholder Democracy,” published in the Journal of Finance in February, 2024.
The Finance and Business Economics Department is pleased to offer a new special topics course named
“The Startup Nation: Understanding Israel’s Exceptional Innovation.”
The course (Fin 490 C: SLN: 22041: Winter 2025 — meets TTh, 1:30-3:20pm) will examine the history and cultural aspects of the country’s unique economic development, focusing on the lessons learned from Israel’s success and innovation, and how those lessons learned might be extended to other nations in the region.
