The Technology Management MBA Program offers a schedule designed for working professionals with classes one-to-two nights per week and every other Saturday. Students begin their journey in January and graduate 18 months later.
To provide a solid foundation for this journey, students attend a Welcome Reception, Orientation Day, and a one-week Program Immersion in the preceding fall.
Blended format: in-person + hybrid = better balance
Our unique, blended format combines 90% traditional in-person courses with 10% hybrid courses to support better school-life-work balance while students pursue their Foster MBA.
The traditional in-person courses take place primarily in Kirkland with occasional class sessions on the Seattle campus. The hybrid courses consist of one-to-two in-person classroom sessions, followed by asynchronous activities and live interactive remote “Foster Live” sessions.
Class times that work for working professionals
Wednesday evenings, in-person, 6 – 9:15 p.m. in Kirkland
Every other Saturday, in-person, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Kirkland or Seattle
Only 2-3 Thursdays a quarter, online, 6 – 8 p.m. via Zoom aka “Foster Live”
Optional Review Sessions for added support
To support learning, optional review sessions are offered for primarily quantitative courses. These TA-led review sessions take place on Thursday evenings and students may attend in-person or remotely via Zoom. All sessions are recorded and made available for review.

Program Immersions
In addition to the standard quarterly course schedule, the TMMBA Program includes three immersive academic events.
- Immersion Week takes place in the Fall prior to the first quarter and includes 7-8 credits of coursework condensed into a seven-day, full-time schedule. Classes take place at the Eastside Executive Center and Seattle Campus.
- A 3-day Leadership Immersion takes place midway through the program. This event accelerates students’ leadership with thought-provoking and interactive simulations, and lively discussions on issues such as team-building and motivating employees.
- For a global business perspective, students have the opportunity to participate in our optional one-week International Study Tour in the spring of the second year. The destination is jointly decided between the program administration and students.
Class attendance and work-related travel
It is important to consider your work travel schedule when considering your choice of program. TMMBA is primarily a traditional program, and thus in-person attendance is a key element. Students are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of each class. If business travel is necessary, students must communicate this in advance of travel to instructors, study group members, and program staff.
