Mentorship Program

MSBA and MSCM Mentorship Program
The MSBA and MSCM Mentorship Program connects graduate students with experienced professionals—many of them Foster alumni—for small-group mentoring throughout the academic year.

These quarterly conversations give students a space to explore career paths, ask candid questions, and receive guidance from mentors who understand their industries. Groups shape their own rhythm and focus, with the MSBA and MSCM program teams providing structure, resources, and occasional mixers to deepen connections.

Whether discussing long-term goals or day-to-day challenges, students and mentors often build relationships that extend well beyond graduation.

FAQ

How are groups assigned?

We look at a number of factors, including years of professional experience (for students and mentors), industry, and personality.

Will I have a chance to meet mentors who weren’t assigned to me?

We will have 1-2 mixer opportunities throughout the year, which will be an opportunity to network, but we ask that you hold off on reaching out to other mentors until the conclusion on the program to allow them to focus on the students they were assigned.

Who are the mentors?

Many of our mentors are Foster alumni. We also have several folks who are “friends of Foster” and have become interested in connecting with our students after hosting tours and sponsoring capstone projects.
