Interview Logistics

Our interview team is made up of both staff and current MBA students. Prior to meeting with you, your interviewer will review your resume. There is no need to send anything additional to your interviewer. To prepare for your interview, our best advice is that you come prepared to discuss how you plan to spend your time here at Foster, and why our program will help you achieve your professional and personal goals.

Upon scheduling your interview, you will receive a confirmation message with the name of your admission interviewer and their Zoom meeting link. At the time of your interview, simply click on the Zoom meeting link to connect with your interviewer.

Prior to your interview, be sure to spend some time testing your computer’s camera and sound to make sure that everything is working properly before the interview begins. We recommend logging in 5 minutes ahead of your interview time to ensure a smooth connection. Your interviewer will have a waiting room set up and bring you into the meeting room at the time of your interview.

FAQ

Who will conduct my interview?
Our admission interviews are conducted by a mix of staff and current MBA students. Interviews are assigned randomly across our applicant pool.

If I am able to visit campus, can I have my interview in person?
While we welcome you to attend our onsite events, all interviews will be conducted virtually to create a consistent and candidate-friendly experience.

If I interview early in the round, will I get my decision earlier?
There is no benefit to interviewing early. All candidates invited to interview will receive decision notifications on the same date, approximately two to three months after the application deadline. Please see the Admissions website for the date you can expect to receive your admission decision by.

What should I prepare or have on hand for my interview?
You are not required to prepare anything special for your interview. Your interviewer will have had a chance to review your resume prior to your interview.

How long will my interview last?
Interviews generally take around 30 minutes, but we suggest blocking off a full hour in case the conversation runs long.

What is the appropriate attire?
We suggest that you dress as you would for a professional job interview.

What happens if I need to reschedule?
Please contact the Admissions Office at [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can help you reschedule your appointment.
