Launch your global career with an International Internship through Absolute Internship, a Foster Partner Program. This new summer study abroad opportunity is designed to immerse you in the dynamic business environments of Tokyo, Seoul, or Singapore. The 9-week program combines professional internships with cultural exploration, academic credit, and career development—all while living and working abroad.
Program Overview
- Dates: June 19 – August 20, 2026
- Locations: Tokyo, Seoul, or Singapore
- Credits: Earn up to 4 UW credits
- Cost: Approx. $9,000–$11,500 (varies by location)
- Application Deadline: October 20, 2025
- Eligibility: Open to Foster undergraduate majors only
Program Cost
The program fees covers the cost of the credits, housing for the duration of the program, study abroad insurance, career workshops, program activities (day and weekend trips) and admin fees. Admin fees are paid directly to UW and program fees are paid directly to Absolute Internships.

- Japan: ~$11,290
- Seoul: ~$8,940
- Singapore: ~$10,425
Admin Fees: Each Foster Study Abroad Program includes a Foster Study Abroad Fee ($375) and a UW Study Abroad Fee ($525). These fees are included in the program price above.
Students should also budget for expenses not included in the program fee (e.g. airfare, food, visas and personal expenses).
Scholarships and Funding
Thanks to a generous donor, this program has substantial scholarship funds available ranging from $500-$8,000. Submit your scholarship application through the Global Business Center Scholarship Application, due October 29, 2025. Awards will be announced prior to the program commitment deadline.
You can also apply for additional scholarships through UW Study Abroad and external internship scholarships.
Program Inclusions
As part of the Absolute Internship program, students will have access to:
- Internship placement in industry of choice
- Pre-departure and visa support
- Arrival support including an airport pickup and Welcome Weekend orientation
- 24/7 On-site support
- Transportation card to and from internship site
- Accommodation near public transportation
- Career Development Workshops
- Day and Weekend Trips and Cultural Activities
- Academic credits through UW (no additional tuition charged)
Application Process

Apply
Applications will open in September 2025. Submit your application through UW Study Abroad portal by October 28, 2025. Complete an essay and indicate your preferred location and industry interests.
Interview
Submit your resume and interview with Absolute Internship in November. Be ready to share your relevant skills as well as your goals and interests for the internship
