The TMMBA program takes a holistic approach to evaluating applications for admission. Beyond an established professional background and academic readiness, we consider communication skills, ability to contribute to the TMMBA community and emotional intelligence.
General intellectual ability
Applicants have the option to submit scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Graduate Record Exam (GRE), or the Executive Assessment (EA). We also review undergraduate (and graduate if applicable) history, taking note of the difficulty of the curriculum and scholastic quality of the school.
Diversity and inclusion
In selecting the entering class, we will strive to create an environment representative of the organizations in which the students work. Our commitment to diversity focuses on recognizing and valuing the varied lived experiences, cultural backgrounds, unique perspectives, professional paths, career aspirations, and academic histories of our students.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Due to the team-oriented nature of the program, it is imperative that an applicant demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively. These skills are evaluated in the required essays, recommendation, and applicant interview.
See the UW Non-Discrimination Policy and the Equal Opportunity Statement, which applies to all programs and facilities, including, but not limited to, admissions.
