Hybrid MBA Career Management Offerings
Professional development programming is offered by Career Management and Student Services teams around career development, executive presence and social/emotional skills for leaders. These take place virtually and in person at immersions during the duration of the program. Alumni also have access to some of these offerings.
The speaker series showcases successful leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs from a variety of organizational sizes. Topics span leadership, entrepreneurship, and globalization to social innovation and business growth strategies. An event brings students, alumni, and community members together to network as well as hear leadership philosophies and strategies that have transformed a speaker’s career, organization, and life.
In tandem with the other Career Management offerings, Hybrid MBA students have the opportunity for 1:1 career coaching. Students can schedule virtual meetings with one of two career coaches through an easy to use the calendaring system.
The Hybrid MBA Mentoring Program is an opt-in application-based program. Its primary goal is to provide opportunities for rewarding conversations around professional experience, career development, and situational advice. Mentors are successful, respected Foster MBA alumni in senior-level roles from numerous companies and industries including consulting, technology, consumer goods, and health care. The program has a custom software platform that assists in building a mentoring community, supporting mentor-mentee matching, and measuring program effectiveness.
Hybrid MBA students can join small groups to gain guidance, support, and accountability around efficient, systematic, effective processes for job searching or career shifting. This allows for unique networking and bonding opportunities across different MBA cohorts.
Students also have access to an on-demand Career Management course developed by Hybrid’s Course Development team. This course – just like our academic courses – is the home for Career Management’s events, programming, and internal job board. This four-module course provides resources from developing a personal brand and clear elevator pitch to a high-impact LinkedIn profile, keyword-optimized resume, and offer negotiation plan.
