Undergraduate Diversity Services

The University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse student body by creating a culture of respect which values diversity, equity and inclusion.

The UW Foster Undergraduate Diversity Services (UDS) Office’s mission is to serve as a holistic resource for students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the greater business community. These groups of students include those of minority, economically disadvantaged and first generation backgrounds.

Effectively supported within the UW Foster Undergraduate Programs Office and in partnership with the UW Office of Minority Affairs and UW Foster Office of Inclusion & Diversity, UDS provides academic and early career readiness programs to support underrepresented students in order to achieve academic and professional success. Together, they strive to ensure that UDS students are prepared to enter the corporate workforce as leaders and change agents. UDS pipeline programs are resources for high school, community college, UW pre-majors, and current business students.

More information about last year’s overall impact and details for each UDS program can be found in the AY24 UDS Annual Report (PDF).
