When is the next conference?

The Fifth Annual Tenure Project Conference will take place at the Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, from July 13-15, 2026.

What will we do during the conference?

Workshops will focus on professional development, self-care, and community building. Stay tuned for a more detailed schedule!

What is the cost to attend?

The standard registration rate for the Tenure Project Conference is $150.

This year, we’re introducing a flexible “Pay-What-You-Can” model based on your individual circumstances. This approach reflects your feedback from previous conferences and ensures that cost is never a barrier to participation.

To give you a sense of the true cost: it takes approximately $203,491.53 to host the conference each year—an average of $1,077.27 per attendee when factoring in meals, materials, facilities, and programming.

Participants will be able to select from registration tiers ranging from $150 to $1,000, choosing the level that best aligns with their financial situation and their ability to support themselves and others in attending.

Every contribution—no matter the level—directly supports the conference experience and helps sustain this community for years to come. Those who are able to give above the standard rate make it possible for others to participate fully.

Is The Tenure Project for me?

The Tenure Project provides a supportive environment where junior faculty are welcomed and engaged in programs, events, and dialogues that address the critical issues affecting Black, Latinx, and Native junior faculty as they pursue tenure in US business schools.

Eligibility to the Tenure Project is not exclusionary based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national and ethnic origin, disability, veteran status, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

I am not a PhD Project Faculty Member, can I still join The Tenure Project?
