Global Innovation Exchange

Launched in 2017 with generous foundational support from Microsoft, the UW’s Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) is a collaborative initiative of UW’s College of Engineering and the Foster School of Business.

The core mission of GIX is to inspire innovators to solve real-world challenges through the responsible application of advanced technologies. To fulfill this mission, GIX partners with corporate, government and non-profit organizations to deliver transformational learning through graduate education, global experiences, and professional development programs, including the flagship degree, the Master of Science in Technology Innovation.

Housed in UW’s Steve Ballmer Building, a 100,000 square-foot, purpose-built innovation center in Bellevue, GIX provides students and professionals with the tools and training to design future technologies, develop working prototypes, and create sustainable and responsible pathways for business success.
