Foster EMBA Does Not Require the GMAT/GRE/EA for admission.

To prepare new students for the quantitative rigor of the Executive MBA program, all entering students are required to complete the EMBA Summer Workshop. The Workshop spans six weeks, mid-July to late-August, with thirty-six (36) classroom hours. The sessions are typically conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-6:00 pm (PDT).

The Summer Workshop content includes:

  • basic business math through calculus
  • an introduction to microeconomics
  • probability and statistics
  • enhancing student problem-solving abilities utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • accounting basics*

Students are given an assessment (quiz) to ensure proficiency for the math portion.

We believe the Summer Workshop provides an important opportunity for entering students to refresh and enhance both their quantitative skills and study habits. The goal is to better prepare a cohort to optimize their EMBA experience.

*Individuals with a CPA credential, an accounting undergraduate degree, or current accounting experience are exempt from the accounting portion.
