Are you Eligible to Apply?

The Professional Sales Program is open to all UW undergraduate majors who have met the requirements below:

  • 90 Credits
  • Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA
  • Completed ECON 200 and ACCTG 215 or ACCTG 219
  • Please review the Sales Program curriculum carefully (before submitting your application) to ensure you can meet all program requirements.

We encourage students to complete the Professional Sales Program in their Senior Year.

Application Process

  1. Identify your Cohort Year based on Spring Completion (e.g. the 2026 Cohort will start Fall 2025 and will finish Spring 2026).
  2. Once you have started your application you will be prompted to fill out required fields and upload documents that help us evaluate if you will be successful in the program.
  3. Once you have submitted your application, we will reach out to you to schedule a professional interview.
  4. Students will receive a decision email after their professional interview.

2025 Cohort – Application opens 6/16/23 and closes 6/15/24. Interviews will start 12/1/23.

Program Requirements to Earn Sales Certificate

The curriculum generally requires four quarters to complete, as some courses must be completed sequentially. ECON 200 must be completed before MKTG 301 or MKTG 305, MKTG 301/305 before MKTG 335 and MKTG 335 before MKTG 496.

  • Complete prerequisites ECON 200, ACCTG 215 or 219
  • Complete (2) sales-focused pre-approved elective courses
  • Complete curriculum: MKTG 301 or MKTG 305, 335, 430 and 496.
  • All Sales Students must complete a Spring Quarter Practicum Internship.
  • Provide updated transcripts at the end of program for a requirement review

If a student is not a business major, we will assist with course registration after acceptance into the Sales Program.
