Global Bankers Program

formerly known as the Pacific Rim Bankers Program (PRBP)

Cancellation of August 9-21, 2020 UW-Global Bankers Program

The UW-GBP Board determined the best course of action is to cancel the 2020 program amidst the global pandemic from COVID-19. In coming to this decision, we carefully took into consideration the health and safety of everyone, uncertainty on travel restrictions, the value of in-person networking, and financial challenges for the banks.

Having said that, we are already accepting applications for 2021 program with the added benefit of discounted tuition for payments received before June 30, 2020. If you want to learn more, please email us at [email protected]. Throughout the year, we will also be providing other ways of engagement for alumni, sponsoring banks, and prospective applicants so stay tuned.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you in 2021

Expand Your Global Banking Networks

The financial services industry is in constant flux. Bankers must keep up with innovations in technology, regulatory reform, and new business models amidst an increasingly global economy. The Global Bankers Program equips future leaders to thrive through decision-making skills training, leadership development, and hands-on problem-solving of industry challenges. The University of Washington has offered this popular program for 43 years, yet the original goals are still relevant today.

This intensive two-week program helps you:

  • Enhance leadership and decision-making skills for a changing global economy
  • Develop a network of business contacts and become part of an extensive GBP alumni community worldwide.
  • Gain a new understanding of industry-changing forces such as risk, globalization and technology.
  • Improve decision-making skills with tools for assessing the competition, creating business strategies, analyzing opportunities, and responding to changing markets.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of cultural differences as you learn alongside participants from the United States, Europe, Central Asia, North and South America, and Pacific Rim countries.

Armed with new skills and new contacts, some GBP graduates go on to lead some of the world’s most influential banks. Register for GBP and make sure you and your colleagues are prepared to deal with the current and future changes in the financial industry.
