Get Involved!

By joining the Foster community, you’ll gain access to hands-on learning experiences, UW student organizations, and network with passionate individuals. From case competitions to passion projects, opportunities abound for Foster students. Each year students can engage in experiential learning opportunities, like domestic and international study treks (pending sufficient enrollment). Get an inside look at successful business from Adswerve in Ballard to the Audi Factory in Germany – MSBA students enhance their classroom knowledge with first-hand experience.

Building your Community and Network

While Foster is recognized for outstanding career outcomes, we are also known for the tight-knit collaborative culture, where students make each other better. Outside the classroom, passions and interests unite as students enjoy the region’s active lifestyle, sponsored school activities, while building a life-long network building a life-long network.

Network and build relationships with your peers, faculty, and industry experts with our intentionally designed cohort-based approach. As you move through the program together, your fellow classmates will become your networks of support, as you go from peers, to friends, to colleagues.

Interested in getting involved with the program? Consider volunteering to be a student ambassador. A student ambassador role is a leadership opportunity for current students in the programs to provide answers to questions and curate a welcoming environment for prospective students who are interested in our educational community.

The University of Washington is also home to over 1000 registered student organizations across campus. Check out what UW student organizations and clubs match your interests! Find a community of like-minded individuals, a culturally focused group, or an opportunity to connect with other students on campus—with so many options, you’re bound to find your place at UW!

At Foster, we are devoted to a community where all members feel seen, heard and supported, and everyone experiences a sense of belonging. Our students also have an opportunity to represent the MSBA program on the Dean’s Diversity Committee. Undergraduate and graduate subcommittees provide representation and student perspectives to Foster community. In addition to amplifying student voices, students actively engage in DEI strategies and initiatives and work with fellow students across at Foster.
