Strategic Partnerships

Strategic Partnerships focus on developing external relationships that will lead to new business development and collaborative initiatives. Whether forging partnerships with corporations, academic institutions, government or alumni we believe collaboration is the key to the future success of the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Partnerships
The Foster School of Business values collaboration with other academic institutions, corporations, and local groups on various levels and would welcome opportunities to develop alliances for mutual benefits. Examples of our partnerships include:

  • Partnership with the School of Education to develop and deliver executive education for principals and superintendents.
  • Partnership with the Northwest Minority Business Council and the Consulting and Business Development Center to develop and deliver executive education for minority business executives.
  • Partnership with Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management in China on various aspects such as executive education, exchange programs and joint research.

Faculty consulting
The Foster School offers a rich mixture of faculty research and expertise. We can help connect your needs with a faculty or a team of faculty for consulting, research, and/or case development. Recent projects include the development of an MBA Program for Dealers at PACCAR and the collaboration of Weyerhaeuser Corporation and faculty with expertise in supply-chain management.

Executive Education
In addition to various programs targeting both domestic and international audience, we can develop customized programs that specifically meet your organizational needs. Recently we were able to connect employees from POSCO – a leading steel producer from South Korea – with faculty, others in the field of steel production and The Boeing Company for information on strategy and leadership.
