Academic Programs

To train the next generation of business leaders and analytics practitioners that can make an impact in our society and around the globe, the USTC-UW Institute offers three academic programs:

Undergraduate “3+1+X” Program is a complementary Bachelor/Master/Doctor Degree program for USTC undergraduate students. Highly qualified USTC undergraduate students who have completed a three (3) year course of study could apply to participate in this program and complete the one (1) year study in a business elite program.  The program’s students will be selected to join a summer research internship at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, and will be invited to apply to a one (1) year Master Program or a five (5) year Doctor program at the UW. Upon successful completion of the Master/Doctor degree program, the UW will award a Master/Doctor degree to the program students.

MBA Dual Degree Program allows qualified students admitted to the Master of Business Administration Program at the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China to concurrently pursue a second Master of Business Administration (Global MBA) at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Upon successful completion of each program. The program students will be awarded a Master of Business Administration degree from each institution.

Joint Doctoral Program enables USTC doctoral students to have the opportunity to work with top researchers to conduct high-quality joint research, to receive rigorous training, and to publish academic papers in top-tier journals. Qualified USTC doctoral students will be selected to conduct joint research programs with professors in the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington as visiting doctoral students.
